Three Times a Lady Shawl Pattern

$20.00

Named "Three Times a Lady" after the Lionel Richie song to a woman loved in all three phases of her womanhood. The bands and sections symbolize the three phases of a woman's life journey, through maidenhood, motherhood and crone (wise woman).

It is constructed in the three-triangle method, developed by lace designer Sandy Terp. The basic shape is a triangle that has an unfinished bottom point; from a practical point of view, this eliminates the awkward long point. Symbolically it shows unfinished or unrealized parts of a woman's life.

It would look beautiful in any of the solid colored GLORIOUS, PARADIGM, or BASIC 100% wool solid colored yarns. One 500 gram bag would be enough to create this lovely keepsake shawl.
